Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Remove Objects (the "App"), developed by RefineAiLab ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the App and its services. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the App, you confirm that:

  • You have legal capacity to enter into an agreement
  • All information you provide is accurate and up to date
  • You will comply with these Terms and applicable laws

3. Description of Service

Remove Objects is an iOS app that uses AI-based generative inpainting to remove unwanted objects and enhance photos.

Business Model

The App operates on a subscription-based model with a free trial. We provide AI-powered editing services through server-side processing infrastructure. Pricing is fair and transparent, reflecting the costs of AI processing, server infrastructure, ongoing development, and customer support.

4. Subscription and Pricing

4.1 Introductory Free Tier

New users receive a limited number of complimentary AI processing requests as an introductory offer. This amount may vary over time, change based on region, or be adjusted as we refine the trial experience. These complimentary requests allow you to test the App's AI-powered photo editing capabilities before purchasing a subscription.

Introductory Offer Details:

  • What you get: A limited number of free AI processing requests, sufficient to evaluate all major features of the App.
  • Included features: Full access to the App's AI capabilities (object removal, skin retouching, detail cleanup), before/after comparison, and image export/sharing.
  • After using the free requests: Once all complimentary requests have been used, AI processing functionality will become unavailable until a subscription is purchased.
  • Availability: This introductory offer is available once per Apple ID. After the first subscription purchase, the introductory offer does not reset or reappear.
  • Changes: We may update the number of complimentary requests periodically to improve the onboarding experience or reflect infrastructure and service costs.

Note: This introductory offer is separate from any official Apple subscription free trials that may be configured in App Store Connect. If an Apple free trial is available, its terms will be displayed during the subscription purchase process.

4.2 Subscription Plans

All subscriptions provide ongoing access to our AI-powered editing service with server-side processing, regular feature updates, and technical support.

Weekly auto-renewable subscription plans (prices vary by region):

  • Light Plan — 20 AI processing requests per week
  • Medium Plan — 60 AI processing requests per week
  • Professional Plan — 120 AI processing requests per week

Each plan includes:

  • Full access to all editing features (object/person removal, skin retouching, detail cleanup)
  • Before/after comparison tools
  • AI-powered server-side processing
  • Image saving and sharing capabilities
  • Multi-language interface support
  • Works across all your iOS devices using the same Apple ID

4.3 Subscription Terms

Ongoing Value:

Your subscription provides continuous, ongoing value throughout the subscription period, including:

  • Unlimited access to AI-powered editing services and server-side processing infrastructure
  • Weekly quota of processing requests that resets with each renewal
  • Regular feature updates and improvements to the AI editing capabilities
  • Technical customer support and bug fixes
  • Multi-device synchronization across all your iOS devices
  • Server infrastructure maintenance and reliability improvements
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each weekly period and will continue renewing until cancelled. To avoid charges, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and upon each auto-renewal.
  • Quota reset: Your weekly processing quota resets automatically upon each successful renewal. The renewal time is based on your original purchase time and timezone.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unused quota does not carry over to the next period and is not refunded, except where required by applicable law.
  • Cross-device access: Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and works seamlessly on all iOS devices where you are signed in with the same Apple ID.
  • Price changes: Subscription prices are subject to change. We will provide advance notice of any price changes, and changes will take effect at your next renewal. You may cancel before the renewal if you do not accept the new price.
  • Refunds: Refunds for subscription fees are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. Generally, no refunds are provided for unused subscription time or quota, except where required by applicable consumer protection laws.

4.4 Restore Purchases

  • Purchases can be restored on any device using the same Apple ID.
  • Usage quota is synchronized across all devices linked to that Apple ID.
  • Your subscription provides seamless access across all your iOS devices.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

Allowed

Personal or professional editing of photos you have rights to use

Prohibited

You may NOT use the App to:

  • Process explicit, pornographic, violent, or exploitative content
  • Involve minors in harmful or sexualized contexts
  • Create deceptive deepfakes
  • Violate privacy, publicity, or IP rights
  • Use automated tools, bots, or attempt to circumvent limits
  • Break any laws or submit images you do not have rights to edit

Content Moderation

AI moderation automatically checks submissions before processing.

Important: All submissions that are analyzed by the AI moderation system count toward your quota, regardless of whether they are approved or rejected. This is because computational resources are consumed during the analysis phase.

Special considerations for content containing minors: In some cases, the system may reject photos containing children even without explicit sexual context if the algorithm determines the risk of violations to be high. Such precautionary measures are necessary to maintain compliance with child safety regulations.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of your photos. You grant us a limited license to:

  • Process images
  • Store temporary copies needed for processing
  • Use aggregated, non-identifying diagnostics (not the images themselves) to improve service reliability

We do not use your photos for training or marketing without explicit consent.

You are responsible for acquiring all rights and permissions to the content you upload.

6.2 Our IP

All App code, design, branding, and content belong to RefineAiLab. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the App or use our trademarks without permission.

7. Privacy and Data Processing

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Key points:

  • Images are processed securely and stored only temporarily for the duration of AI inpainting
  • We do not permanently store your images unless you explicitly provide them for support diagnostics
  • We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and applicable data laws
  • You may request deletion of operational logs linked to your Apple ID where applicable

8. Usage Limits

8.1 Quotas

Quota depends on your plan.

All submissions that are analyzed by the AI moderation system count toward your quota, regardless of whether they are approved or rejected. This is because computational resources are consumed during the analysis phase. Network errors that prevent submission from reaching the server are excluded from quota counting.

8.2 Tracking

Usage is tied to your Apple ID and synchronized across devices.

8.3 Fair Use

We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate Terms.

No Forced Actions: We will never require you to rate the app, write a review, or download other apps to access functionality or content. All App features are available based solely on your subscription status.

No Incentivized Reviews: We do not offer processing credits, discounts, or other benefits in exchange for app ratings or reviews.

9. Availability and Technical Limits

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

The App requires:

  • iOS 15 or later
  • Internet connection

Note: AI editing may alter image quality, colors, or resolution.

10. Warranty Disclaimer & Liability Limits

The App is provided "as is" with no warranties.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RefineAiLab is not liable for:

  • Loss of data or content
  • Processing inaccuracies or quality issues
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months or $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RefineAiLab harmless from any claims arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your use of the App
  • Your content or misuse

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating Terms, fraud, or security issues.

Unused quota is not refunded.

You may cancel anytime via Apple ID settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

14. Third-Party Services

The App relies on:

  • Apple In-App Purchases
  • iOS system services
  • RefineAiLab processing servers

Third-party terms apply to their respective services.

15. Device Requirements

Supported only on non-modified iOS devices running iOS 15+.

Use on jailbroken devices is not allowed.

16. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

No Class Actions: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only, and you waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Injunctive Relief: Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent unauthorized use of the App.

17. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms + Privacy Policy = entire agreement
  • Invalid provisions do not affect the rest
  • Rights may be assigned by RefineAiLab
  • English version prevails if translations conflict

18. App Store Terms and Apple Requirements

Apple Compliance: This App fully complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, Section 3 (Business). All in-app purchases, subscriptions, and digital content unlocking are processed exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system in accordance with Apple's requirements and policies.

Apple's Role: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are not parties to these Terms and have no obligations with respect to the App, including maintenance, support, warranty, or liability obligations. Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, or any claims relating to the App.

Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

In-App Purchase Compliance:

All subscriptions and access to premium features are processed exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase mechanism. We do not:

  • Use alternative payment methods for digital content or services
  • Direct users to external payment methods for features unlockable via in-app purchase
  • Circumvent Apple's payment systems
  • Offer pricing incentives outside of the App Store

Business Model Transparency: Our subscription-based business model is clearly disclosed within the App and its metadata. Pricing reflects the value of ongoing AI processing services, server infrastructure, development, and support.

Review Integrity: We do not engage in any practices to manipulate app reviews, inflate chart rankings with paid or incentivized feedback, or use third-party services to artificially boost ratings. All reviews are genuine, unsolicited user feedback.

Subscription Transparency: All subscription terms, including pricing, weekly renewal periods, auto-renewal policies, cancellation procedures, and refund policies are clearly and conspicuously disclosed before purchase in accordance with Apple's Auto-Renewable Subscription Guidelines (Section 3.1.2).

No Forced Reviews: We do not require users to rate the App, write reviews, or download other apps to access features or content. All functionality is available based solely on subscription status, in compliance with Section 3.2.2(x) of Apple's Guidelines.
